Beirut Animation Nights is a film festival in Lebanon dedicated to celebrating the world of animated cinema. Founded in 2022 by Lebanese animation director Nicolas Fattouh, the festival aims to showcase the beauty and artistry of animated films created by talented filmmakers, with a particular focus on emerging voices.
Our vision is to bridge the gap between animation enthusiasts, up-and-coming and established creators, producers, and animation professionals—fostering a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas, skills, and inspiration.
Beirut Animation Nights serves as a dynamic meeting point for filmmakers in Lebanon to connect, collaborate, and share their creative work with wider audiences.
The festival is built on three core pillars:
– The Artistic Program –
A curated selection of outstanding animated films.
– The Souk –
A lively marketplace where filmmakers can pitch their animation projects to industry professionals.
– The Madrasa –
A mobile animation school offering workshops and training led by renowned animators, designed to nurture the next generation of talents.
Beirut Animation Nights is organized in partnership with Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts and Beirut Film Society, and builds a network of partnerships and collaborations with sisters festivals and film associations in Lebanon and the entire world.
